Selling Custom-Coded Punk Rock Nude Girl (SuicideGirls) Affiliate Site for Sale

I started this affiliate site almost one year ago, and just haven't built it up into the super-affiliate site I thought I could. The site is http://dolldb.com (DollDB as in Doll Database) and is an affiliate site promoting SuicideGirls.com memberships.

I coded it in PHP and it uses a very basic HTML/CSS template, which you can easily change due to the way I set up the template system. All parts of the site were custom made with the exception of the WordPress blog I set up on it.

The rest of the site is all original code however and includes an automatic updater which grabs new girls' profiles from the SuicideGirls.com site. The update script will save all the new profiles to the site database after changing some content slightly and re-ordering some of it as well.

This site has search-engine-friendly URLs and also generates a sitemap and RSS feed of all pages on the site.

There is a back-end admin which allows you to change meta info, title, description, and disable/enable (or delete) a model's profile.

The site shows close to 2,000 Suicide Girls models, and each girls' profile links to the SG affiliate link.

I have made a few sales from this site during the past two months. In the past year I've made only about $30 however. I assume this is due to me not building more links to the site and beefing up the content some more (perhaps with some custom-written content, and more blog entries).

Because of this, I think there's a huge opportunity for the next owner. To give you an idea of potential, I *have* made money from the SG affiliate program with a different site of mine, earning about $600 per year. Unfortunately I didn't put the same level of work into this site's promotion as I've mentioned. So there's room to grow.

Is the auto updater provided by SG or is this something you coded yourself?
Also, do you have a bin in mind?

 

The auto-updater script was coded by myself, and can be run via cron. (SG doesn't provide much in the way of affiliate tools!)

I decided against a BIN, as I'm not sure how to really value the site. The good: the site's solidly built and has potential. The bad: no revenue and not much in the way of backlinks/traffic yet. So I decided just to let people bid.

 

I'm going to go ahead and build a few more backlinks to this site during the next few days, hopefully to sweeten the deal. Nothing major, but at least there will be more inbound links that what it has.
