Would love to see a list of trending/hot threads in the forum sorted into their respective categories (Search engines, Business & marketing, Design, etc). Hot threads could be defined by the number of replies, views and likes (OP as well as replies) have acquired over a 24 hour period, updated hourly. It could help in quick discovery of interesting topics that would normally get pushed down, or off the front page in the busy sections. Another forum I use has something like it, but I think they base "popular" only on the number of views the thread has had in the last 24 hours. I'm sure combining other metrics into some sort of algorithm would yield much better results. The link could go between 'New Posts' and 'Spy' Just a thought. Cheers James
Yeah... it's been something I've been wanting to do... just haven't figured out a formula I like for determining what is deemed popular yet.
Good to know that its on your wanting to do list. Ah, the hard part. Determining subjective means to define an objective end. Rather you than me Cheers James
