From sifting through the posts this is what I put together........ Digital Point Keyword Tracker needs a Google SOAP API key to function. Google stopped issuing SOAP API keys in December of 2006. Google currently offers an AJAX API key, but KT needs a SOAP API key. If you already have a SOAP API key it will still work, you just can't get a new SOAP API key from Google anymore. The folks at Digital Point (Shawn?) seem to be working on an upgrade to allow KT to work with the AJAX API. At this point, unless you have already received a SOAP API key from Google in the past, you can't use the Digital Point Keyword Tracker because you can't get a new SOAP API key from Google anymore. Q
I already had an old soap api key and was using dp's key tracker before but now it doesn't work at all even with the old key. It doesn't update or do anything, it just lists the keywords as ranking as 0 for everything, even for keywords that are 100% ranking (like site title). Do I have to renew my old api key or anything special?
actually it stopped working for me months back but I've already posted about it ..I think it must be something we're doing wrong (or something that changed and that hasn't been updated for us for some reason).
I just started with it, and it seems to be working fine. I was getting all N/A's until I tried adding www before my domains. Now it looks like it's giving good results. I did a quick manual check of a few words and it seems right. I set up the advanced script on a server, if that makes a difference. I hope it keeps working, I like it! Q
And now I have my answer. I thought I was going crazy, not being able to find the correct API key and all. I guess its just a waiting game now.
Zeropaid...shady self-promotion! I tried it out, and your tool doesn't do half of what the Keyword Tracker does, mainly, with your tool you can't even track keywords! Don't recommend something like this when people are looking for a something to track their keywords - it's not even relevant.
