Current Design or New One?

I'm currently constructing a website for my web design company. I need some feedback for my design, which I designed a few months ago. I sent it out to some people and they said it didn't look Web 2.0 or something appealing. I was wondering what you guys think of the design. Should I keep working with this design, or try something else? Suggestions would be nice.

My current design is at http://www.imponenteweb.com

Its so tiny that I had waited a few seconds before realizing that the site had already fully loaded.

Unfortunately, I don't have any site content yet because I want to have a final design before I move on.

Try putting a Lorem Ipsum passage in there, it will make it look like there's content:
    http://lipsum.com

But, I would suggest designing a new site. Not saying the one you have is bad, it's nice, but not really relevant to web designing in a specific sense. My portfolio (sig link), when I designed it, I put my heart into it and that's what I came up with. Use your full potential, pay attention to little details. Look up design inspiration regularly.

Here's some good design inspiration sites:

    To your success!

    Regards,
    Jared

I would suggest starting over and trying again. To be for a web designer it really needs to look a little more professional.

I think it needs to be a little more attention getting and clean. Also try to put in some "Lorem Ipsum" Text to fill it out a bit.

Current design could do as well if you focus on the content area and create a shiny layout. Header and footer are fine by me, you could of course improve the top navigation buttons.

What did that notification say? My security tools aren't reacting in any way on that website.

The logo and all the text way too close to the borders.

    Problems with your current design:
    -Not search engine friendly
-Lack of polish (navigation blocks at the top are jagged, images don't align or look the same)
    -Logo looks out of place

So far you've got the basics in place but this design is far from complete. I'd say start over and start fresh. Are you designing on paper first?

To be honest, the design looks very dated. I would start over.

You could make a poll of this! :)
But to get to the point, I would really re-think this. A proper web site design is MUCH more than just a header and footer. Just have a look around and you will see that good design consists of a well-thought through concept. So put some effort into it and think of a concept when creating a design, especially if you want to offer web design services via this web site. Because this site will have to convince others to use your services, right.

Good sites for inspiration, Jared! Can always do with some of those.

    Sites I like for inspiration:
    http://cssremix.com/
    http://cssline.com/

Give it another try and take your time working out a design. It will come to you.

    Good luck!
