Not sure i want to sell yet, im just curious to see how much i could possibly get for my website, it generates some income when i kept up to date with it, around $4-$5 a month, ive advertised it in some places a little.
All the content on the website is unique (i have written it all myself).
It gets a few unique visitors through Search engines, not a huge amount though

    Wordpress
    Alexa rank: 5,390,047
    Site is on hostgator
Not had it very long, about 2 months.
Just pure curiousity of how much i could get for it :)

Generally look at around 10x-12x monthly earnings.

My personal opinion is 10x or 12x calculations work when there is reasonable consistent income. If a site has $5 income per month, it may not be fair to value it as 10x or 12x of its monthly income. The potential to earn must also be considered. The new owner will need to go based on a subjective analysis on what he can achieve from the site in a medium to long term basis. The result could be a 20x multiplier or even a 5x multiplier.

Around DP, I only give money based on site domain name, history and originality.

Whatever income it's claimed per month makes no difference to me since it could easily be manipulated unless we are talking about a site with years of existence and remarkable popularity.

blogfile is not a bad name, but so many people stick a standard (ugly) wordpress theme and start adding articles from the top of their heads that these won't differ much from everything else already available out there.

Instead of talking about MIRC that was news in 1998, try talking about KDE4 on windows or other open source projects that are growing today.

Also, if you're only going to write an article or two on the blog - imagine that this blog isn't yours - would you give more than 20 USD for it?

Just a few details that you need to take into account.
