If you have download links on your site for animes/music/mangas they don't allow you to have adsense on context of copyright rules. Disucssion forums or Review/rant blogs may get accepted though.
how about if it was just displaying anime videos? but not hosted on our site. lets say megavideo or something like that.
Most likely would be rejected with same reason as before "Copyright content". If they allowed such things, most people will just set up stream sites and get adsnese But there's no harm in trying, but i won't have high hopes on it.
These sites may have hidden the sections when google reviewed the site. But sooner or later they will get banned for it. All big sites like mangafox etc etc don't use adsense but other ad networks.
I use adsense on my anime site, it was my first site that i used to apply to google and it got accepted. There is no manga, or atleast should be no manga on it. Almost half a mil "random" images. We follow DMCA takedown notices but only got a few so far. I been using adsense since april 29 2010 when the site was only 1 month old or so. If interested you may check it out, http://safebooru.org
I have an anime site, I was able to use adsense for about a year before they disabled my site. You should leech of adsense for as long as possible, once they ban you then you can move to another ad network.
I don't think they will ban me anytime soon, since i host no manga, or movies or anything copyrighted.
Yes, you will not get banned or rejected if you don't actually host anything. If you have embed content (videos from Veoh, Youtube, Facebook, etc) then you are safe, just make sure to have a disclaimer that explains so.
I see lots of sites that violate AdSense ToS and have keyword spamming on them but they get away with it. That doesn't mean you will. I know I'd get banned, my luck is awful.
