Hello, I'm currently working on a forum and I am curious as to why it really isn't ranking and would kindly like some suggestions as to where I can start so that it does. The forum is on a topic that I enjoy, and I have an accompanying Twitter account with enough followers to keep the forum healthy, I want to get it to rank on Google so that I can bring in new users! It's a Harry Potter forum, specifically on a new website called Pottermore that was announced by the author of Harry Potter and has been very popular this last month or so. As far as I have looked on the web, my forum is the largest Pottermore fan forum on the web right now. It is currently under the domains, forums.pottermorehype.com and pottermoreforums.net As you can see, the forum is very active when you look at how it has only been up for such a short period of time, but I am confused as to why related forums with much less activity and traffic are ranking much higher. I am concerned that these other higher ranking forums will become bigger because of that and leave my forum in the dust. What can I do to help my site rank in terms of seo? I'm not asking for step by step instructions, but generally what can get my site ranked on the first page of google for "Pottermore forum" and "Pottermore forums"? Thanks in advance for any and all help!
