Curious about Affiliate and CPA leads

Currently I run a site that is pulling in around $100/mo with PPC. I had someone tell me last night that I could maybe do better if I tried CPA.

Is affiliate marketing similar to PPC where I would just put banners on my site? The site I run is related to the outdoors market.

I almost always would recommend affiliate marketing over CPC type ads such as Adsense. The reason for this is that you can bring in 500-1,000 clicks per month which is probably producing your $100 per month with Adsense (or whatever you're using). With affiliate marketing, you could be promoting products that have much higher payouts than simply .10-.50, or whatever the payout per click is for your niche with CPC. If you're getting roughly the same amount of clicks and have a decent conversion rate on whatever affiliate product you're promoting, you could increase your monthly earnings by a lot. But it's also something that you have to work at, and try various offers until you find a successful campaign. Monetization programs like Adsense are simple because all you have to do is plug the code, and they do the targeting, optimization of ads/banners for you. But I'd recommend checking out affiliate marketing!

I'm not agree with you. I know that affiliate commission is much higher than adsense click but you said that adsense are simple what is not. Its not just plug in the code. This is the easiest job. What about keywords, content? Combine adsense with affiliate product can be very profitable!

I'm simply saying that putting adsense on your site is much more simple than testing various affiliate programs on your site. I think almost any affiliate marketer would agree. But that's just my opinion. In addition, if the affiliate programs are more successful than Adsense, I would move away from Adsense. But that's again my personal preference, which has done well for me.

I agree with Phillychzsteak, Cost Per Acquisition offers are far more profitable especially if you have something that is directly relevant to your visitors. There are some offers that will convert like crazy in the health and mobile which may work for an outdoor (sports?) site. Make sure you pick offers that you think will appeal to your visitors and give it a try. IMHO Adsense is not really optimized in that regard. Give it a try, you may come back and thank us.

Where can I find CPA offers? I looked at CPAlead.com, but it seems very negative toward site visitors.
