Hey guys, this is EdgEvent's Roommate, who is starting a cupcake business (Cups and Cakes). I'm the one needing the logo, and will try to comment as much as possible on what I'd like! Just as she said, I want a line drawing, something VERY simple. BLT, I like where you're going...but I need a simpler swirl on top. Here's a pic of the cupcake I made: http://people.tribe.net/freckledgirl/photos/1cdc415d-283a-4cda-ac5a-2c99265787fc (hope that worked.) I don't really like the color gradations; I prefer to stick with solid colors. Attached is something I like (sort of a cut and paste of a few things, but rough). Smooth it out, make it better?
cups and cakes, what are your thoughts on mine, i looked at the picture, and it looks like I'm close to what you want. Are there any changes you need?
-no color gradations. -straighter sides on the cup -cake part shouldn't be sooo smooth with the cup - the cake should sort of bulge over the top -frosting should come to a peak at the top, then flop over, sort of. (does this make any sense?)
here another version, this with the solid shadows, but still conservating the 2.0 feeling, looking clean and professional . feedback for both entries would be appreciated .
flyby - I like this...though its still a little "bubbly" A crisp point on the frosting is good. The cupcake needs a bit brighter color to it....it looks greyish and not appetizing at all. I'd also like to see this in purely black and white, for use as embroidery, that sort of thing. can you include just the outline as well as the color part? BLT - LOVING the second one w/straight sides. Again, though, I need to be able to use an outline, too. I'd like it to "pop" just a bit more. Maybe a bit pinker, less rosey? I like the straight sides. Oh! And for both of you, for the top edge of the cups, it has a slightly rolled edge...like sample cups you get at costco, that sort of thing. Can you include that? I want the logo as personlized as I can get...these are both getting there.
here my revisions.. i still don't understand what you mean with : Can you show an example or something like that .. since i'm not american i don't understand what's costco, etc .
Thanks everyone, I've decided to go with BLT's design - captured what I was thinking of! I appreciate all your work!
