CTR - What Is Normal?

    I just joined CJ a few days ago.
    Using Adsense, a CTR of 5-10% is usually considered "good".
    It took me a long time to consistently stay above 10%.

    Using CJ, should one expect the same kind of CTR?
    Initially, I am seeing about 0.1%. Very poor, right?

    Then, there is the Conversion Rate.
    Should that be about 5% of the Clicks?

    Restated:
    Expected CTR= 5% of Impressions (what is YOUR estimate?)
    Expected CR = 5% of clicks (what is YOUR estimate?)

    Thank you for any replies. Just trying to get a "feel" here.

    It has been 12 days. Here is a follow up.

    Impressions = 36,000
    CTR = 0.2%
    Conversions = zero
    Commissions = zero

    1. What am I missing?
    2. Why would anyone keep doing this, when CPM and CPC ACTUALLY PAY something?

    If I don't get SOME kind of conversion at 50,000 inpressions, I will move on.
    As others have said, affiliate marketing is MUCH HARDER than it first appears.
    Right now, I am running FREE CPM ads for all the advertisers. This will not continue.

    Possibilities -
    1. Scumware steals all the commissions
    2. The advertisers don't report conversions
    3. Affiliate marketing sucks in general, only 1% of those who try it succeed.

    I have figured out that, on average, I make $15 comission per 100 clicks.
