CTR or traffic?

On my site If I increase my Traffic my CTR drops so ive been experimenting with a lower traffic which has shown increase in my CTR.

If you should choose between optimizing CTR or traffic, what would be your first priority?
Of course we all want more of both :) What is most important to you? How does it develop for you.

    CTR or traffic?

    Get traffic first, optimize 2nd..

If you dont have the traffic, all the optimization in the world won't help at all..

To really optimize you need to have traffic. Otherwise you do not have a good sample of data

Traffic every time, there is no point having a good CTR if nobody is viewing.
Concentrate on CTR after traffic (unless you are intending to get extra traffic from stubleupon, its pointless traffic)

Do you always try to sell product which is not ready yet? Traffic for site with crap optimalization is just loosing part of it, so answer is obvious.
