Hi My CTR is very poor..its just0.04% for the whole month... and i tried all possibilities to increase it but...some thing is missing .... still i am confident that i can improve the CTR... Give me your inputs to increase my CTR. Second thing is i got a doubt is CTR is that important ....why iam saying this is because, Last sunday i spent around $7 and i got a return of $400sale.. i cant believe my self... is there is any one who can tell how to improve CTR?
Basically if you're ad does not convince the searcher that you have what they are looking for then you're CTR will always remain poor, when I start a new adwords campaign I aim for positions 4-7 for best ROI If the high positions work out more profitable only then will I go for them. Also are you bidding on the search of content network?
Jay is right. If you can't convince the searcher you have what they want, CTR will remain low. I would also suggest to have separate campaigns for search and content networks. CTR is important. Better CTR means better position at lesser costs. Conversions are important too. You have to find the spot where both result in highest profit. Look at it this way: if your conversion rate remains the same, the only way to increase sales and more profits is to get more visitors, hence higher CTR.
Thanks for your suggestions. But still i cant few more questions in ma mind. Lot of keywords are showing poor quality score. I have done everything relevant to increase the keyword score but it remains poor. i am not sure where its going wrong. Second thing is my ads are not showing due to poor quality score. If i increase the Bid value? will i get a better positions.
> If i increase the Bid value? will i get a better positions. Increasing bids is the easy way out and expensive. Improve your ads. You have poor QS mainly because of poor CTR. You have poor position because of poor CTR.
I think the campaign may be to badly broken to be fixed, if lots of KW's are showing poor QS due to very low CTR they will bring the whole campaign down, which is whats happening now. The problem here is you would have to pay stupid CPC's to get you're ads to show, and when they do show they will be in low positions and lower you're CTR even more, and you're QS will drop again. You're best bet would be to close the Adwords Account and reopen a new one with a different credit card, and then rebuild the campaign, but this time split test you're ads against each over and structure you're campaigns properly. If you need more help just ask.
Hey Jay thanks for the interest taken on my question. But the problem here is .. i am doing it for another company. And i cant start another account nor i cant suggest that. And another thing is here... they are running these ADWORDS for quite some time. What they did is .. they increased the CPC. The problem is they had given their account to me in Very bad state and they are asking me to rework and improve the campaign .. and i did that for quite some time.. in the one month time period .. i reduced the amount of money which they spent and also increased the profit margin to a very higher level. Now i felt ... if i tweak this account little then the result will be better than what it is now... I guess u understand ma problem....
Of course ROI is more important than CTR, but one major factor of your ROI is the cost-per-click you are paying to get your traffic and the best way to lower CPC (at least on the search network) is to have a high CTR
