CTR is too low for wallpaper niche website

    I have a wallpaper website, the traffic is good, it's around 7000 visitors per day.
    but CTR is really low, it's around 0.2%.
    I've tried many ways to improve CTR like change ad position but there's no improvement can be seen.

    Anyone is having wallpaper website can give me an advice? and tell me your normal CTR is?

    Wallpaper sites are a very poor choice for Adsense due to poor targeting of the ads, Adsense is a contextual based ad system.
    Is your site http://wallpaperlist.com/
    If so I looked at your site and the ads shown were for talktalk, why would anyone visiting your site for wallpapers click on talktalk ads?
    Wallpaper sites are a complete waste of time and effort.

    I've tried few color schemes, different ad spots but only image based ad like you've said i've never tried it before.
    do you think is it really good for put ad with both text and image?

    i think if i allow image ad only, my CTR will increase but overall income will be lower.
    do you think so too?

    No, with higher CTR you'll (logically) have higher income... another important thing is that you bring more traffic to your site. ;)

    I have a website that has a low CTR, and a low RPM. The website is in the funny pictures niche. And I should tell you that this is normal for a website in your niche. These sites tend to get low CTR because the ads are not related to the page. So the user has no interest in clicking on them. What you can do is get more traffic to improve revenue.
