CTR Good, Traffic Good, but Pennies a Click? What's the Problem?

Discussion in 'AdSense' started by darkdude, Nov 21, 2007.

I own a website that used to receive clicks as high as $0.27/click. However, now, it's as low as $0.06-$0.07/click. What seems to be the problem? Is there a solution? Competitive Ad Filtering?

    Thanks :)

Only things I can think of at the moment: Block MFAs, Check out keywords, Change niche, Maybe you have a seasonal niche that's no longer in demand.

It all depends on your niche. What niche are you working with?

I have some clicks giving good money some of them paying very bad. I guess we have to find a way to check out the worst paying ones.

there are many reasons, end of advertisement campagains, smart pricing... etc... it's difficult to say basing just on your post.

Your account has been Smart Priced.
The same thing happened with me.
Basically, you get smart priced when the clicks generated via your Pub-ID are low converting. In order to maintain its popularity, Google discounts the advertisers' click costs that are generated via your account since they don't convert well.

First thing is possible that your best advertiser leave from adwords.
Second, there are new MFAs in your market.

Does anyone know how to get un-'smart priced'? Also, how can you tell?

    Thank you,
    Donny
