Hi everyone, I'm pretty new to this kind of thing, but I've got a number of websites now and am getting some traffic, but I was under the impression that I should be getting a higher CTR than I'm getting. I've had close to 30,000 impressions in total across all my sites, but only about 100 clicks... Here are a selection of my sites: http://www.realmusicforum.com/ http://holidays.bz/ http://xboxreviews.org/ http://kitchen-appliances.co/ Am I doing something inherently wrong or are my expectations too high? Thanks in advance! Phil
Couple of things you can do. 1st Change the color of your ads. The idea is to make the ads looks like a part of your site. 2nd place a 336*280 ad inside your posts. It gives great results. several more things that you can do but don't make too many changes at one time, because then you'll not be able to find which thing is working for you. Good luck
If you want to increase your CTR, your ads should be "in your face". Let me give you an example. On this site: http://www.realmusicforum.com instead of one 428X60 put two 300X250 side by side. The ads' background should be white, and the links in them should be blue (#0000FF). Your CTR will go up like crazy. If I had that many impressions on my sites, I would be making $5.000 a month. I am not kidding.
You are really Kidding!! Putting a White Background Ad on A blue PAge will Guide Users to Exit the Page Ad Should be Blended, Not Painted Or Thrown into the Page! And You Wont Make $5k From 30k Imps! i.e $1k from 6000 Impressions Rough! How Pretty!! ~ExP~
This normally due to few reason 1. high bource rate (low quality site) 2. Poor ads placement and setting 3. Non targeted traffic To get better CTR, first you need to have quality site. Once you fulfill the first requirement, then you need to study on the ads placement and setting, spend about month, try different placement and setting, monitor the CTR and find the best. At the same time, try to get more targeted traffic, SE traffic are highly recommended compare to traffic from social media
I've always assumed 0.36% was a common CTR on most websites. It's probably less than that on forums or social networks because people reading threads don't want to be directed to another site when they're checking out topics and messages.
to be honest im scared to click anywhere on that page as im not even sure what im clicking on. IMO id ton down the ad colours to match your site colours.
