CSSsocial.com is a digg-like CSS gallery where users submit their sites and move to the fontpage based on votes. Galleries are still quite the rage, and involving a community should boost revenue potential.

There is no revenue, it's never been launched.

If you don't use the webshots pro image setup on the site currently, there is a fall back that takes the images itself (more efficient, the drawback is below). As you can imagine this is a bit intense, and you'll need it on a vps or dedicated. I can also host this site for a bit of time before I decide to transfer it to your host.

Webshots Pro is a script that takes an image of the website submitted and places it on the website. For a CSS Gallery like this, it is very useful.

Managing the site is easy. In the admin panel, you can control everything, from changing the amount of votes needed to be on the front page, to user deletion.

As for image issues, there are ways around that, but it would take the auction winner a bit of tweaking to accomplish, and dependent on how you're generating the site snapshots in the first place.

 

The system is based off of a free script but it has been modified with the features mentioned above, plus a custom design.

 

Okay, but do you know what language the script is in? And whether there's a database or a flat text file to store the content? I would need to know these things so that I can determine if my servers can handle them.

 

The script is based off of PHP and MySQL. Databases are used to store the content.

Hmm. I bought it like this and haven't touched it. I'm not sure why it's out. If it's a violation though, I'll just add it to the footer.
