Hi. I have been learning as much as I can about CSS, and have completed my first CSS test page to replace my homepage using (mostly) CSS. I used the Suckerfish article for the Nav and did some of my own css for the footers. It is completed, but I would apprieciate if someone could let me know if it works in Safari and Opera, and if any other tweaks should be made. Also comments about the look and feel are welcomed as well! Oh yea, the url is: http://fossilfly.com/TESTPAGE/example23-010705.htm Thank You
carowan, you have done a nice job there. Works a treat in Opera 7.54 As for general comments, I am not too keen on the red color used within the navigation. It just doesn't seem to fit too well. I'm not a fan of the changing of the background color on the links upon mouse-over. I have never been a fan of this wherever it is used, it just looks so bold and square. Just my two cents.
Jamie, Thanks for the imput! I was hoping that it work well in other browsers. I am also uncertain about the changing background on mouse over. I will probably change it, after it wears thin. thanks again.
Looks fine in Safari. One of the cool features I've found in the Web Developer Tools extension for FireFox is live CSS editing. (Web Dev Tools available at https://addons.update.mozilla.org/e...ndows&category=Developer Tools&numpg=10&id=60) In a few keystrokes I had your red horiz. nav block floating on the right side of the window. Lots of other great web design features in that extension, the more I discover, the more I can't live without.
OMG, wkw, I've had the dev toolbar installed for months and I didn't realise it could do that that's pretty damned cool, top tip dude
