So Im very new at css, and made a very simple external style sheet, to see if I could get it to work. Well, I did, but it is so slow, it nearly times out. The rest of the website is fast though. Is there a reason for this? Has anyone ever come across this?
If you give us a link we could take a look and advise you on what actions to take but I can almost garantee it is not the CSS file as for the CSS file to slow down your site it would have to be massive or you would need 4 or more. If use correctly using CSS should reduce you download times not increase them. It may be full of errors this can slow down the page but without having anything to look at I carnt tell you what your problem is.
Yes, it was the host. Im not sure why everything else was fast and this was slow, but its fine now. Thanks guys.
This can be causing your hosting server, lots of image in your site or any issues. Glad it was your host issue. All solved.
