    Any chance of seeing the code? This seems like a simple enough task.

    I don't see why not...

    I'm hoping this can be done, but I'm not going to be devastated if it cannot...

    You want it like this?

    If you want you can delete this

    * {
    margin:0;
    padding:0;
    }

    Code (markup):

    Ultimately I may either end up doing that, or working with "slices", but I know how to make the inner box scroll, with the added scroll bar. I want, basically, for the inner box NOT to have a scroll bar, but to scroll as the whole page is scrolled, remain within the top and bottom of the background, and scroll (as needed) if the amount of content warrants it.

    As I mentioned, I'll probably have to "slice" the background... :mad:

    Thanks for your effort!

    This will not work with your background and tbh I would think about users using 1024x768 px (take a look yourself).

    1010 px width is really a bad resolution.

    The only thing you can do is fixed header/footer ... and that's pretty easy to achieve.

    CLOSED

    It seems my imagination is bigger than...

    I'll be slicing (and dicing) for a barely acceptable result... :mad:
