I try putting in a image background and it works in Firefox but not Safari.

Here's my original code without the background: (I've tried changing the hex code too, but nothing seems to happen)

It's for my blog by the way...

So where's the html? Styles don't mean much without seeing what they're working against. Got link?

    cheers,

Maybe you mean just background color? I din't look much at your code but usually a simple fix to that prob (it happens in opera too) just wrap a floating div around the whole content float it left with width 100%.

I tried that after the background color code, but it didn't work?

You need to show us. It could be something as simple as a typo or syntax error, but we cant debug what we can't see.

By show us, I mean show us exactly what you've done; not "Something like this:".

By now, it should have become clear what it is I'm asking you to do. In case it hasn't, I want you to add the ruleset to your stylesheet so we can see what your style code does to your html code.

OK, I see a background just fine in Safari/Vista, and in Epiphany using the Webkit engine in Linux.

Attached screenshot shows IE7 and Safari in Vista, and Iceweasel (Firefox3) and Epiphany/Webkit in Debian Gnu/Linux

    cheers,

Yeah, but that's Safari in Windows, I'm using an actual Mac and it isn't working.

EDIT: Odd... it just started working now.

No, it was nothing like that. It just takes a minute or two to update the cache for some reason. So while the CSS was working, and uploaded, it took awhile for Safari to register it correctly.

Anyway, if anyone has the same issue, just wait two minutes and refresh and it should work.
