hi i am making an ajax news scroller on my site and i have a problem in the display on internet explorer, while it works fine in firefox. the news scroller can be seen here www.dmax.tv/indextest.htm on the right sidebar of the page. in internet explorer it shows scrollbars which make it look ugly while it displays perfectly in firefox. any idea what is wrong?

I actually ran into a similar problem last week, and received some help from a friend. Here is the link he sent me:http://www.quirksmode.org/css/clearing.html. Look for the header "Unwanted scrollbars" about halfway down the page. Being a CSS noob myself, I hope this info is helpful. Good Luck!

thanks the overflow thing did the trick, i am also having a problem with the positioning of the prev pause next controls which are located under the news box, they are correctly positioned in firefox but display a bit further down in explorer. any idea why?
