css horizontal menu - ie issue

I am not a big time web developer and I know just enough css stuff to get by. Can anyone look at my code and figure out how I can get IE to work better on my horizontal menu.

The problem is that when you open a sub menu in IE the sub menu hides behind the menu to the left. This doesn't happen in Firefox.

Any help would be great.

Thanks. No I went back to having my sub-menues line up at the edge of the previous menu instead of a slight overlap. I couldn't resolve the problem.
