CSS Fluid Template (Expert)

The project is to make modifications to a website’s templates to make them fluid.

This is a joomla website, and as well as the Left and Right positions for modules, there is a central area where articles appear. The website has 1 default template, and 5 sub-templates which are assigned to different sections of the site – and are basically the same, apart from a colour difference.

The template has some fluid with properties already, e.g., currently, on a 800x600 screen the modules places in the Right position will not show, and the central section will expand to the take the space (if any)

This project is to: alter the template and sub-templates so that (on all broswers) the central section expands to take up the maximum space it can if there are no modules published in the left and/or right columns. This would also apply to the ‘wrapper’ function of Joomla.

As there are a number of components on the site, careful testing will be necessary to ensure that the modifications work properly with them in IE 6 and 7, and in both of the latest versions of Firefox.

As well as making the changes, the template should continue to be W3C Priority 2 accessible, and optimised for speed (as it is currently).

If you would like to see the site, please contact me. If you wish to submit a bid, you should be able to demonstrate your experience of CSS and good programming in CSS and Xhtml.

Please PM me about your quote for this and time-frame. (Best Bid Please)
