    Hi,

I have re-designed my site in CSS (for the benefit of SEO) and it looks great in IE but terrble in Firefox (just shows header image and nothing else).

As I have only ever developed in IE and all the other browsers just worked (lucky I guess) I am at a loose end as how to remedy this problem.

any help would be superb as I need a little push in the right direction.

The site is 1stautobulbs (.com) (did not want to scam an inbound link incase it was against the rules)

Thanks in advance for any help :)

    Woah!

I've had a quick look at the CSS and it's in a bit of a mess... Not really sure where to begin!

Did you hand code this or use a program?

had someone in for a few weeks to design it. Did not think the css was that bad but clearly it is

think he used a code only program to design it from scratch.

Well whoever did it for you does not have a clue when it comes to making sites in CSS then you should desing the site to be standards compliant and to work in Firefox first once you have the site looking how you want it in Firefox you then use hacks to get it working in IE properly.

Your site is not standards compliant which is probley why it is not working in a standards compliant browser.

As IE is the only browser that is not standards compliant it is the worst browser you can pick to design you sites in as yeah it might look fine in IE but you will have a lot of hard work getting it to look righ in all the other browsers.

My advise to you would be to get someone who knows what there doing and redo it, the design is a simple one and not that hard to do.
