CSS as important as HTML?

We all know that google likes proper html tags, like < h1 >, < b >, etc.. but what about CSS, does it have the same weight?

I mean, for example, is the < b > tag more important than the css "font-weight: bold"? Or is it the same?

Well I think for now Gbot do not have the capabilities to read CSS(sooner or later it will). I also have a question about that if Gbot reads H1 as a default Bold, size xx ; so does this mean that the simple txt with the same attribute (Bold, size xx) consider to be equal as H1?

I'm pretty sure G can read CSS, and also that H1 is more important than bold + size xx

First and foremost is properly marked up content. The markup is (x)html. In fact, without that there is no reason for css or javascript. The html labels each part of the content as to what it is. Further, it implies the structure of the content.

The css is simply the presentation layer. It sets the way for each element or elements within a grouped context to be displayed.

And, an h1 displayed as {font-size 10px;} is still a top level header while a p {font-size: 24px;} is still just a paragraph with big letters.

    cheers,
