Crunching a PDF

My DH created a big word document that needs to be distributed online as a PDF.

Before I give in and say OK to distributing the word doc I thought I'd just check here.

    The doc is 772k

If I use word to save it as htm it's 158k with 860k of images.

If I use an old version of adobe exchange to create the PDF I get a massive 10,391k file. The users are not going to download that!

Doesn't make any diff if the pdf is from the doc or the htm version.

Any ideas on what I can do to make this PDF more "portable"?

    thanks

    Sarah

    Hi Sarah,

I've heard of programs that will compress a pdf file. Try a search for compress+pdf. I haven't tried any myself, but a lot of results for that search.

    Hope that helps.
