I have several sites of the same topic on one IP - do you think that if I crosslink them Google will take offence?

No if all of your site has original & fresh content then Google wud not take any action against you. But if there is any duplicacy then you cud get -ve effect.................

I dont think you would have a problem - if the sites are related or with the same niche - the fact that they are on the same IP shouldn't really be a problem.

No this would not be a problem ,I have 4-6 sites on a single IP and all of them are cross linked ,they are also benefitted from it (some got PR3 from 2 PR4 sites)

Cross linking related sites shouldn't cause a problem, regardless of the IPs involved. It's when you start cross linking your own unrelated sites that you might start to have a problem. Link away and good luck.

No problem, although links from the same IP are slightly less valuable than from different ones, but it won't have any negative effect unless you overdo it, e.g. crosslink all subpages etc.

I've seen some sites that have not suffered even though they were on the same IP BUT they all did have decent content.

    Totally Agree...
Google does not wants duplicate content. Fresh and new contents don't have any problems.
