Cross-Channel Tracking

    Hi everyone,

I was going to use Google Adwords Cross-Channel Tracking, but it doesn't make sense to me.

I wanted to track my conversions from Shopping.com. So I was going to set up a separate channel for each one of my products, get the URL, and put that URL in my Shopping.com spreadsheet I upload.

But, when I go through the motions of getting the URL, it wants me to add some code to each one of the product pages.

Not only do I NOT want to do this because it will clutter each one of my product pages, but what happens if I want to track an Overture conversion with a separate channel? Do I now need two Google boxes on my site?

    This seems rediculous!

Am I missing something? Is there a better (free!) alternative to Google Conversion Tracking?

    Thanks!

Sorry for bumping this, but I am wondering if anybody is using the Conversion Tracking in Adwords? If not, what are you using to track conversions?
