Cross-browser compatibility

Hi guys, need a hand here. I had a page coded with HTML/CSS tableless, and I see it now in different browsers and it doesnt look well....
I attach images on how it looks in IE6. It seems to work ok for IE7 and not so well with Firefox...

Does this have to do with this part of the coding?

validate your code at w3c first...probably find something interesting over there

 

And post a link to your page or code, we can't help if there is no code to work with.
