Cron to restart VPS

never done this. so i need a detailed instruction on how to set a cron to restart my VPS everyday at 5:00 am GMT. i am on a linux centos vps, with whm & cpanel.

You should ask your server support guys.

 

mein just tell me. those server support people speak chinese to me. for real. they reply so technical i get lost from the email subject.

 

First, why you like to restart your VPS at the specific time? If you have problem, find out the root problem

 

Learn their language - or don't try to run your own server, you might do something like run a cron job to restart the server every day

I'm not 100% sure, add to crontab (everyday at 5)
shutdown -r

 

I'm trying to help. It's much better to get a pro's advice than to rely on strangers for something like this. You have a support team. Use them.
