Cron Jobs

    Hi,
    what are cron jobs and how to make use of this feature of Cpanel..
    i got there two options, standard and advance but i donot know for what purpose this feature is??

    I think you mean CRON jobs :). You use them to run scripts at set time intervals. e.g. you could have a script to back up a database on a daily basis.

    A "corn job" is something you might get from a Scanky-Hooker.

    A "cron job" is scheduled event that you can make happen repeatedly.

    Example, say you don't want to kick out emails every time you have a new member sign up to your site. You can store the outgoing mails in a database table, and every 15 mins have a 'cron job' execute a command line that generates the email and flushes the email que.
