This site is aimed at cat owners who are looking for cat flaps. http://www.MicrochipCatFlaps.co.uk/ The main source of traffic is natural search engine listings, from Google UK, MSN, Yahoo, and others. Most visitors are searching for "cat flap" or "cat flaps". The aim of the site is to explain why the Pet Porte microchip cat flap is the best choice for cat owners and to get the visitor to click on the buy button. It is already successful but there are at least 50% of visitors who click off the site without engaging it in whatsoever. We would appreciate your comments about the site and any suggestions about what my client can do to increase the number of visitors who click the buy button.
It's a bit cheesy looking and kind of busy on the eyes if you know what I mean. Why do you have a Merry Christmas sign? I'd get rid of that straight away. Not keen on the animated cat and presents gif either it looks a bit tacky. There's also a floating exclamation mark that probably shouldn't be there. The sales pitch is a bit over the top in my opinion, it's a useful product so probably doesn't need such a long sales pitch. Still you definitely give plenty of reasons to purchase. I'm not sure the new website graphic in the top corner is a good idea, might put some people off. This text "Naturally you felt that by installing a cat flap would make it easy for your furry little friends to come and go as they please... and indeed it does!" doesn't read well take the "by" out. This graphic - newpetporte-med.jpg doesn't display correctly on internet explorer, it only loads a portion of the picture. I reckon you should ditch the Print This Page button as well, it seems pointless. The customer testimonial sections have some tags left in there like /span which looks bad. Some good suggestions. The reason we put the print this page button there is that is about as far as a lot of visitors scroll down in the daytime, so perhaps they only have a short amount of time and need to print the page. I will check out the mistakes you pointed out and see if we can correct them. Thank you!
Banner looks great but if you look any lower its not nice. I would get rid of the christmas animation its not cute its anoying. Also the writing at the start is too large! i know your trying to get attention but i found it anoying to read and kinda hurt my eyes. make the site less in your face. Its nice layout but the scrusture of the text and the size etc needs to be adjusted. Hope that helps
Nice site.. What i find weird is the animation or the video that is loaded along with the page and which comes as we scroll through. This might make some users to move off since its load time is quite more.. So i would recommend to remove the video or a motion picture that is getting loaded.. Anyways cool site..
