OK - this is my first blog project where I'm trying to apply some if the stuff I've learned here @ DP. Its a Beer Review site, and like I mentioned its primarily for learning and fun! If I could make money somehow, that would be great, but its not the top goal right now. I have some original content, and was happy to see it reach PR3 recently, which I know doesn't mean a heck of a lot, but still I was happy! Nice layout and lots of pictures. If you are not planning on monetizing your blog much, its fine as it is. What plugins are you using and how do you plan on generating traffic?
Nice site. I like that you have it well sorted in categories. It makes it easier to search for beers you may like but don't know.
Thanks for the feedback Webbom and kittyluver! shadowboxing - I certainly wouldn't mind monetizing someday, but it seems particularly hard to do with this niche for some reason. Of the things I have tried, nothing really clicked. Any thoughts on that? As far as traffic, I'm trying to post in related blogs, I got in DMOZ, some of the bloger sites - its hard. Some of these beers are so small nobody would even search for them! Still working on that too! Plugins, well I'm using a few. All in one SEO, Contact Form 7, Most Popular, Page Link Manager, Recent Comments and Recent Posts. Might be a few more, but those are the main ones.
Hello newman32, I love the design. It looks very clean and fresh. My only suggestion would be to brighten the link colors on the right hand side a little bit. It seems a little dark to me. Maybe a brighter orange would work. Overall, however, I think it looks very professional. I'm about to turn 21 so I may just have to bookmark your site for some future advice!
The site looks cool but few pages. If you want your site to be listed in the google search , you need to follow the things mentioned. Host the images used in your site with your domain name... Do not copy the url.. It will indirectly drive traffic to some other site... Post more ads with proper keywords such as worlds best beers and bars etc.........

I can see what you're trying to do with the header but it doesn't work IMO, not aesthetically anyway. Nice blog but I think you could definitely improve the aesthetics!
The only thing I would do is to make the link colors brighter. The tan seems kind of faded. Other than the I like the site.
