Sorry Jim. You have a long way to go. You are starting a blog in one of the most competitive areas on the net. Your first post should convince me (the reader) that you know what you are talking about and that you are darn near an authority on the subject of IM. Instead, your post sounds like it was written by someone who really does not know anything about IM. It sounds like a real newbie wrote it. No offense intended and I am not suggesting that you don't know anything about IM. Just that your first post leaves me with that impression. There is a lot more involved in blogging then just writing what everyone else does. You have to think about your target audience for example. Are you targeting people who have tried and failed? Or are you targeting someone who has never attempted IM? If you are targeting the failures, then you should even consider getting your own domain and getting off of blogspot. Hope this helps. Oh, and I hope your wife doesn't read that blog. "I am married with 3 dogs." You might want to reword that before she sees it And I don't think you are too far from me. Winchester area here..
1. If the post is not really interesting, try to make it short and simple. 2. About its template I guess it is too plain. 3. And for a new blog, I think the ads couldn't work so far. so, focus on content first. Good Luck!
