I was wondering if you guys would mind critiquing my front page and offer up some suggestions on how to optimize it. The articles that I add get displayed on the first page and cycle through. Should I add some static material or maybe display more category specific stuff in the body portion of the page. Say generate a list of three articles from each of the major categories? You help will be greatly appreciated.

looks real good. I see it gettin a lot of clicks. SEO wise I would maybe put some content on the front page about what the site is, etc. looks good tho

Looks border line to a MFA site if you ask me, also a lot of your AdSense ads are even blended to match the web page theme or color.

Its not an MFA site. I wrote all the content myself and plan to continue writing as I go along. Got my degree in the field of EXSS and am a certified Personal Trainer who happens to know a bit about webpages. I'm just wondering about optimization. Should I add another nav at the footer? Would that even make a difference... I'm just not sure how wise static content would be on the main page. I don't want to be too huge that the user has to scroll down; however, will this cost me in terms of seo optimization and serps for the page?

The reason I say it is a MFA site is because AdSense ads make up 30-50% of the content\design fill space on most of your web pages. Add more content to the web pages.

I plan on adding more pictures; however, I'm hesitant because of copyright issues... summer time I'll have the ability to shoot alot of pictures in the gym and whatnot and plan on using them. Most of the "weak" content pages right now are the exercise database I'm working on, I was thinking about putting each of the main categories on the index page with maybe three articles under each heading? Would this load the page too slow? And would the be beneficial SEO wise? The article quality articles look more like this: Lose Weight
If your familiar with bodybuilding.com they have tons of links on their front page? I was thinking about going this route to internally link the site; however, I was worried that this might clutter the front page too much? I'm very much into the aesthetics. I actually like how the adsense ads mesh with the content links as they don't seem as "intrusive" in my eyes. What do you think?
