Critical Update from Microsoft

My Windows 2000 server keep asking me to update a critical patch Dot Net Framework 1.0 and 1.1 patches. Problem is no matter how I update it just failed. Can't blame it, because I did not install Dot Net at all. It is quite irritating and worrying to receive the warnings to patch. What should I do in this case? Patch? But how? Or just ignore the warning?

Why dont you try the new framework version ---- .Net Framework 3.0

Edit: Sorry, the 3.0 version is not compatible with 2000 server.

This is the official forum for .net framework
