Crispads - sneaky and dishonest practices?

I opened a new Crispads account for blog ads. Their system allows you to sell banner space and places text ads in that space until a buyer for the banner space comes along. You input keywords and then they serve related text ads based on those keywords.

So I set everything up, entered a few carefully selected relevant keywords and pasted the code into my blog. Next day I log in to my and find that they have stuffed all sorts of irrelevant keywords into my account, things like casino, mortage, etc., stuff I don't want appearing on my blog. And they put a note in the control panel that THEY will be managing my keywords while they "add new feeds".

What kind of sneaky and dishonest practice is this?

I see it's been quite awhile since you posted this... I've been searching for an adsense alternative for the "obvious reason" which got me, well, irritated for awhile. Adsense used to be my world, and it was fun watching those numbers grow penny by penny, and over three or four years, I was finally reaching my first $100... ah, anyways!

I saw a link from jensense.com - can't post the link here, because URLs are not live for me yet :( ... anyways, it's the first link in Google if you put "CrispAds for Blogs, RSS & Atom Feeds"... which gives some good info about crispads.

It looks like they have been around for awhile now. Have you or anyone else have anything positive on them yet?

Wow, this is an old post. About a year ago I saw a post at revenews.com that CrispAds was for sale on ebay. The post is here http://www.revenews.com/jimkukral/archives/002298.html

I commented on that post about my experience and then there was a response from someone claiming to be from CrispAds. A rather obnoxious and uprofessional response that didn't address the issue. You can see for yourself what others said and what the response from the CrispAds person was if you go to that link.

I don't know what happened to them, if they got sold or what. But I never gave them a second look after what the did to me.
