Selling Crime Website

It is with sadness in my heart that I provide up for grabs TheMysteryDistrict.com.

The Mystery District is/was a community designed for people to talk about crime, worlds greatest mysteries, ufo's, conspiracy theories and the paranormal.

After months of rebuilding and advertising it seems to have never gotten back to the former glory days before we were hacked.

Due to time constraints I am having to sell this in order to do the community justice even though I understand that with coming on board as the new owner you would be able to change what every aspect of the website is about.

I have not yet monetized this site as I have focused more on advertising etc however the site is approved with amazon as an affiliate and the ads were only added about a week ago.

So here is some information for you:

Unique Visitors: 2000 - down due to being hacked recently.

Site comes with:
vBulletin License, photopost gallery license, vbseo license, vb advanced license, domain name, and the paid skin/style/theme with branding free.

I would love to continue to run the site however time constraints and living situation is really getting to me and I am attempting to get out of the forum internet business.

Instead of hanging onto it in the hope that it would one day take off, or I will one day find the time, I would prefer to hand it to someone who can utalize the site and build it into a decent community - if it's in the same genre/niche you can count on me to be a member.

 

Any price, bin or starting bid, in mind?

 

Oh sorry I did have one in mind but posted the auction before I could add it and can't work out how to edit it - (sorry it's my first time selling a site I have sold many vBulletin licenses etc but never an entire site, and first time selling on here).

TBH I am looking at a starting price of $100 and a BIN price of $250.
Even though the site is not monetized the price I feel is justified due to the software that comes with it, the fact that downloads available on the mystery district I have had to purchase (such as department of defence files, photographs etc).

I have invested probably three to four times that amount into the site however know that I will not receive it back and am being realistic. $250 is a reasonable price considering the addons etc and at least I got something to show for my work haha even if it is a loss.
