Over the past few months facebook has really turned up the heat and MySpace are really starting to lose out the the rival which is half its size. Both sites have been developing rapidly, but arguably facebook has seen the most drastic changes. With both sites coming under bids from thrid parties, it will be interesting to see if new ownership changes the strategies which both players use. Both sites have the upsides and downsides. Myspace has a massive user base but has been criticised for its unruly layouts and number of spammy pages. Facebook has a more web 2.0 vibe and is growing faster, however, users are starting to get annoyed by the ever more annoying range of applications being added which is leading to a messier site. Myspace will beat facebook, they have more money and much more at their disposal than facebook do. Recently they have been updating a lot, and it's still going on. It's only a matter of time before everyone realises that myspace is better than facebook.
