yea but if you look at pitch conditions in west indies then you will come to know that those pitches are totally supportive for asian teams. Sri Lanka can also bring dramatic changes through malinga.

With Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and Sourav Ganguly we know that they have no shortage of experience. They're not only known their capability to change the face of the game single handedly but they can also be quite consistent.India will win the game!!!

Well, the Aussies will have Ponting, Gilchrist, and now it seems Symonds might even play in the early matches in the cup. I think it will between the Aussies and the South Africa, but you cannot rule the West Indies, New Zealnd out. England also a decent chance.

Most people aren't accepting that he is out because of injury but because of Positive secret dope test. Not only him but also Shoaib Akhter.

hmm.. God knows better, but i do not believe that asif would have used that drug or something. He is not very fast bowler, he can easily bowl ten overs without needing much energy supliments.

Although I have voted for India--I think Sri Lanka is also a strong contender.

They have sheer class in their batting line up.

With --Jayasuria in the best ODI form of his life, Jayawardene and Sangakkara --they have 3 world class player.

My assumption is based on the nature of the CREASEs in the WI. They have completely slowed down over the years and they are more like home pitches now.
Sri Lanka has Murali and Vass (best suited in those conditions)

    My analysis

Super 8-- India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, West Indies.

Semifinal-- India, Sri Lanka, New Zealand -- England/Australia

South Africa has 1% chance of winning the world cup (never play spin bowling). Australia has 10% (Beside Ricky--I don't see a good batsmen to cope Murali, Harbhaja and Kumble with Symonds and Hayden having doubt on match fittness and form):D

Guys--the CUP is coming back to sub-continet as they will be playing in their homes.

As I wrote in my previous post--South Africa will not go beyond super 8--whatever form they have--they will always loose to Autralia--and they will get flat against Murali, Kumble and Harbhajan. NO CHANCE.

    But Yes--New Zealand is a DARK HORSE:D

@ india forum, dark horse is not a nickname- it is simply stating they aren't the favourites to win, but they could be the unexpected team to lift the cup
