Credit card website -- advertising direction?

    Hi guys,

Can anyone provide me with any advice. I have a website that basically lists all sorts of credit cards with all the APR data and such. Truthfully, I have little (successful) experience with PPC advertising, and I was wondering if it's even worth it to promote. I posted this thread here only because I thought PPC would be the best approach, but if any of you have advice, I'd be glad to receive it! It also doesn't help that credit card keywords are extremely costly since it's so popular. So should I give up on this site or go all in?

    thanks, brian

Try different pay per click systems, not only BIG GUYS (adwords etc.), smaller PPCs have traffic too, lower bid prices.
Try for example 3FN.marketing, they have about 1 bln searches per month from SE.

It's hard to say whether it's worth promoting without having all the details about conversion rate, visitor value, etc. The bottom line is if you can earn more than you spend, it's worth it but it takes some testing to know if that's the case.

As the previous post suggested, you're probably best to do some testing on the smaller PPC systems. You'll spend less and you'll get a feel for how well the site converts. Every PPC system is going to be a little different conversion-wise, but you'll at least have some idea of whether it's worth pursuing.
