Anybody have any creative marketing techniques? I like the car park idea -- standing on the side of the road with a sign is another good idea.

My creative marketing idea is to call some editors at a newspaper and tell them about you and your site. If it's a popular topic, they'll write your information down and get back to you when they have a story that you can be a source on.

    Just a thought. What's yours?

Not a bad idea if you were attractive and people liked looking at you.

    Other than that... :)

If your site is a targeted niche then print business cards with just your URL and drop them in books on your subject matter at Barnes and Noble, the library, etc.

That's good for the library because people might say "oh look, here's what someone used for a bookmark." Or maybe even get some bookmarks printed that include your URL.

Or if you have a local website, get some bookmarks printed and give them to the local library to hand out for free.
