Okay, so this one particular day I received an email where the business professional wanted me to purchase an ebook/software from him. Sometimes things like this I just ignore, but this particular day I decided to click his link and see what he was selling. What I found was a 'hand-written' sales letter and all the graphics were hand drawn. The actual sales letter was really compelling and interesting as well. To be fair I was on the verge to pay for the product but logic dictated that I shouldn't, so I didn't. Now my question is... have you ever seen evidence of a really creative sales letter or website and if you have, mind sharing it here in this thread? I would love to see some other websites or sales letters that are really creative and I am sure there are other people on this forum that have such a site themselves or even know of one. Personally where would you draw the line on creativity? What would you expect of a really creative sales letter? Some insight or answers would be appreciated and links to sites if you know of some.
I think it's important to keep in mind that creativity does not sell. Sales copy must be engaging and persuasive if the reader is to follow the letter on and take the desired action...be it to opt-in or purchase. With that said, one of the more well known offline tricks include taping a real dollar bill to the top of a letter (to gain attention).
This is a bit off-topic as I don't have anything to share, but I'd like to know why you didn't purchase the product. Did your logic dictate that since the copy was not standard to the usual that you would be irresponsible in making a purchase? Anyhow, I suppose I'm outside of the norm. I look for anything that is original...creativity is a good thing in my eyes.
