I've been wanting to create multiple networks of simple sites for years now. I've got a couple of small networks that are at least 5 yo, and have like 3-5 sites in them that I don't ever update and those still bring in a few thousand worth of retail sales (to an e-tail store of course) every month despite litteraly not doing anything to them. I've been wanting to make a few networks of a dozen or so related sites, all with original content and doing tests with each network... say make one network with Drupal, one with Wordpress etc. I've seen others here do this with thousands of blogspot or blogger sites and it has seemed to help their sites become HUGE, so I'm wondering if my approach will work, and maybe even be more effective? This seems like a great way to get up in the ranks in Google from what I've seen in the past year or so. I'm just looking to start a discussion about whether this is a common practice, best ways to go about it, if I should start offering this as a common service for our company etc.
Well I know blogspot for one works. I did some research on someone here or on another forum's sig link and it turned out they had 1000's of backlinks on numerous blogs, all with original (looking) content and the guy had a crazy traffic ranking. I didn't see any other backlinks besides blogspot blogs that were obviously just made for the backlinks.
By the way.. is it allowed to have 1000's of blogs in one blogger account? And it took years to manage those blogs just to fill it with original "looking" content
