If you run a forum chances are you know the in's and out's of everything offered on your forum. I am talking about modifications or special features unique to your board. Did you know that unless you take the time to post an informative thread or FAQ about the modification you added, most people will never use it because they don't know it exists or they don't know how to use it? This can be prevented by means of informative threads or an FAQ. This is a problem that I have addressed on my forum and I think everyone should. I have many mods added to my forum, including user blogs, activity/points system, a shop, etc. Most people will not know these features exist or how to use them unless you tell them. I have spent countless hours typing guides and information relating to these features so that people know about them. Here is my forum's "ultimate guide": http://dsifanboy.com/showthread.php?t=1623 This guide explains all the added features offered at my forum that may not be standard on other forums. I have also posted many informative threads about each feature to further the information available about a certain feature. Also, I have modified the FAQ page in vBulletin to have links to my ultimate guide, as well as other important sections. This kind of organization is vital for every forum! If you do not keep your members updated with your latest features they will not use them, or know how to use them.
