Creating URLs for landing page - Best Practice

Our company has several banner ads, some of which may be 2-3 banners on a given page. When the user clicks the banner, we need to determine which banner they clicked. We use Google Analytics to track specific URLs. For example, we have http://www.mysite.com/web-1 and http://www.mysite.com/web-2

These mean we have 2 banners, when clicked, that hit an "index" page on the folders web-1 and web-2. That index page will redirect them to the real page we want them to hit...but from web-1 and web-2, it is the same page.

I do not like the way we do this because I have to create a separate folder for every banner we have and add a new redirect page. I am looking for a better way to do this. Any ideas?

I do have solution for you. Use Google Analytics Url Builder for external banner tagging. Follow below step for tagging banner

Step 1: Enter the URL of your website.

Step 2: Fill in the fields below. Campaign Source, Campaign Medium and Campaign Name should always be used.

Where, Campaign Source - (referrer: google, citysearch, newsletter4)

Campaign Medium - (marketing medium: cpc, banner, email)

Campaign Term - (identify the paid keywords)

Campaign Content - (use to differentiate ads)

Campaign Name - (product, promo code, or slogan)

Here is the url of url builder -
