Creating two or three websites, selling the same products differnet URL. Good or bad?

I am thinking of purchasing three different URLs and creating a website, then changing it around a bit for the other two.
Each URL will have different keywords in the URL as well as targeting different keywords in the content, to hopefully drive more unique visitors to each different site. Anyone want to comment whether this could be a good idea or a bad idea? Please explain.
    Thanks

I'd focus on getting the one set up and running.....Its hard enough getting one site to perform than to juggle three of them!

Agreed...when you start marketing the site, it's going to be much easier and your going to get better results if you focus your time on one URL.

    Hi there,
what you are talking about is a good idea. I use this technique with my business but only after I had built up my main website. Worry about building up the main site first then build the sub sites
