    Hi,

I asked the same question, and did not recieve a response.

Good news is that I found a site with a terms of service/terms of use generator. It is not perfect but it is a start.

    Try this:
    http://www.webmasters-cavern.com/tools/tosgen/

Privacy policies must be tailored to your own web site and industry, just like terms of use.

The Direct Marketing Group also has its perspective on what should be and what shouldn't be private, which differs with many private individuals. You need to appreciate the source. I write privacy policies all the time.

I just downloaded this AUP and would not recommend using it. It is not adequate, nor is it an enforceable contract.

While I have found many of the Privacy Policy generators to be adequate for some people's needs, I usually recommend that clients spend a little extra to get a professionally created Privacy Policy that is tailored to their site.

That having been said, I have never seen a Terms of Service generator that comes close to being adequate. Your TOS is the contract between you and your web site users -- I cannot over emphasize the importance of having a proper TOS for your site.

A properly written TOS will allow you to control how your site is used and limit your liability from law suits from your users. There is no doubt in my mind that spending the time and money to prepare a proper TOS will save you many times your investment and save you countless headaches and sleepless nights.
