    It simply isn't easy easy epecially in Photoshop. You will really need to understand the program first. Any tutorial for real special effects will probably confuse you. Try some very simple stuff first with say 3 layers and place a filled circle on one, a filled square on another and a filled rectangle on another all different colors. Mess about moving each layer and use the various layer blend modes to get all kinds of effect. Just a start but should get you hungry for more.
