creating raised edges using CSS

    Hi there

I have designed a website using tables but i wanted the edges to have an effect like on http://www.flashcomguru.com/index.cfm. The kind of raised edges seperating the text area and the white space at either side - is it called a drop shadow?

I'm not very well versed in CSS - I presume this is how this effect is achieved. It makes the site look very professional.

Anyway, I can't work it out - can anyone help?

    Much obliged!!

that is just a jpg image used as a repeating background in the container div (or table)

this is the background image they are using there
    http://www.flashcomguru.com/images/bg_middle.jpg

just a simple repeatable made in photoshop or similar program
